Arrowhead Christian’s Allie Chavez, REV’s Grace Twente make all-section teams

Two players from Redlands made an All-CIF-Southern Section softball team.

Landing on the All-CIF-SS Division 4 team from Redlands East Valley High was utility player Grace Twente.

Twente, a senior, hit .430 with one home run and 14 runs batted in.

Making the All-CIF-SS D6 team from Arrowhead Christian Academy was utility player Allie Chavez.

Chavez, a freshman, hit .377 with one home run and nine RBI. In the pitching circle, Chavez fashioned a 7-7 record with a 2.33 earned run average, striking out 84 and walking 27.

Other interesting all-section players:

• Infielder Stephanie De La Cruz, Colton, Division 4. De La Cruz hit .471 with four home runs and 28 RBI.
• Outfielder Milani Paige, Eisenhower, D6. Paige, a freshman, hit .569 with one homer and 11 RBI. 
• Utility player Anaiz Barajas, San Gorgonio, D6. Barajas hit .597 with two homers and 26 RBI. She also had 16 doubles.
• Catcher Sianna Lopez, San Bernardino, D6.  Lopez hit .524 with 34 RBI.
