All-CBL softball first-teamers equally distributed

Reflecting a softball season in which Yucaipa, Citrus Valley, and Beaumont tied for the Citrus Belt League title and Cajon finished a game behind, all-league honorees were mostly equally distributed.  

Yucaipa had three first-team honorees – league Pitcher of the Year Emily Mendoza, Makenna Pettey, and Peyton Seevers.

Mendoza went 10-3 in the pitcher’s circle with a 0.76 earned run average. She struck out 77 and walked 17.

Pettey hit .512 with nine home runs and 29 runs batted in. Seevers hit .476 with six doubles and 18 RBI.

Beaumont also had three first-teamers in Keali Huss Cochran, Alexis Taylor, and Haylee Ratliff. Beaumont does not post statistics on MaxPreps.com.

Citrus Valley put three on the first team. They were Leah Leivas, Madison Marquez, and Kamryn Caldwell.

Leivas hit .530 with 12 RBI. Marquez hit .486 with four home runs and 21 RBI. Caldwell hit .385 with four home runs and 25 RBI.

Cajon placed two on the first team, league Most Valuable Player Ci’Ella Pickett and Rylee Torres. Pickett played for REV before transferring.

Pickett hit .585 with three home runs and 12 RBI. Torres hit .515 with five home runs and 22 RBI.  

Two Redlands High players made first team, Shayla Figueroa and Mallary Conway.

Figueroa hit .375 with one home run and 13 RBI. Conway hit .289 with 13 RBI and won two games in the pitcher’s circle.

REV also had two first-teamers, Grace Twente and Jadah Nordby.

Twente hit .430 with one home run and 14 RBI. Nordby hit .315 with 11 RBI.

Honorable mention: (Cajon) Madison Gallardo; (REV) Julie Logaspi; (Redlands) Avery Andrade; (Beaumont) Phoebe Gallo; (Yucaipa) Reese Menjivar; (Citrus Valley) Jestine Citlau.
