University of Redlands musicians to perform in the Spinet’s “Got Talent” program
Local music organization’s Nov. 18 event will showcase student vocalists, faculty accompanists, and accomplished community performers
The Spinet music organization will host “Got Talent,” a showcase of musical talent from the University of Redlands, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. at Redlands United Church of Christ, 168 Bellevue Ave.
Four Hands, One Piano
The program, selected by Spinet member and UR accompanist Dianna Bradley, features Bradley and fellow accompanist Malcolm Swan performing Brahms’ “Carnival Overture” arranged for four-hands piano duet.
Spotlight on Vocalists
Also performing are UR vocal students Alexandra Muyshondt, Gabe Melendrez, and Ethan Hebel, joined by regional opera singer and Spinet member Aneta Augustyn Davis.
- Dianna Bradley earned her master’s in piano performance from UR and has served as an accompanist, educator, and choir director for more than two decades in Redlands. She currently teaches and performs with the university and local choirs.
- Malcolm Swan, a UK native and Royal Academy of Music graduate, now works with UR’s vocal faculty and choirs after a career in London’s West End theaters and schools.
- Aneta Augustyn Davis is a Polish-born opera singer who has performed internationally and teaches music and art locally.
- Alexandra Muyshondt is a Salvadoran American soprano and UR master’s student who won the 2024 Concerto Competition and performed with the Redlands Symphony.
- Gabe Melendrez, a Marine Corps veteran, is now pursuing a degree in vocal performance at UR.
- Ethan Hebel, a UR scholarship student from Ventura County, is a double major in composition and vocal performance and performs in the Chapel Singers and Redlands Big Band.
