REDLANDS, Calif. — The city of Redlands is accepting applications to fill an opening on the Planning Commission, an unpaid volunteer board that helps guide the city’s long-term physical development.
The commission prepares and maintains the city’s General Plan and makes recommendations to the City Council on zoning, environmental review, site and architectural plans, subdivisions, and regulations governing signs, parking, landscaping, housing and historic preservation. The panel meets at 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
City officials say preference will be given to candidates with knowledge, training or experience that align with the commission’s work. Relevant backgrounds include urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, real estate and development, community and economic development, environmental or public policy, public administration, finance and business administration.
