What to do for Halloween in Redlands: 2026 events guide
From trunk-or-treats and family festivals to Plane-or-Treat and Olive Avenue trick-or-treating, here's where to celebrate Halloween in Redlands this October.
The city's expanded Halloween celebration will feature carnival games, inflatables, trick-or-treating and aircraft displays. Admission is $5 per person.
REDLANDS, Calif. — Halloween festivities are taking flight at Redlands Municipal Airport on Sunday, Oct. 25, as the city prepares to host its official Plane-or-Treat celebration.
The family-friendly event will run from 2 to 5 p.m. at the airport, 1755 Sessums Drive, with trick-or-treating, aircraft displays, carnival games, live entertainment and more.
This year's Plane-or-Treat will be larger than previous celebrations as the city consolidates its Halloween festivities at the airport.
The expanded event comes after the city discontinued its annual Olive Avenue Halloween Extravaganza, citing pedestrian safety concerns, growing crowds, budget constraints and staff resources.
Unlike previous years, when Plane-or-Treat was free, admission will cost $5 per person, with most activities included in the ticket price. Food, drinks and merchandise will be available for separate purchase.
Families are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy an afternoon of Halloween activities throughout the airport grounds.
Planned attractions include a spooky inflatable maze, carnival games, super slides, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon artists and video game trucks.
Visitors can also view aircraft on display, although touching or entering the planes will not be permitted.
Live music, entertainment and activities hosted by community organizations are also planned. More than 20 food and merchandise vendors are expected to participate.
The event will feature an EV Spooktacular Showcase, presented by Breathe Southern California, with up to 10 Halloween-decorated electric vehicles.
Families can trick-or-treat at participating vehicles and learn about electric vehicle rebates, charging incentives and clean transportation resources. Complimentary iced coffee and pastries are also planned as part of the showcase.
The city is encouraging attendees to pre-register online to help streamline entry.
Early wristband pickup is planned for the week before the event, although pickup locations and hours have not yet been announced.
Public parking will be available at the Redlands Sports Park Complex, where attendees will follow a designated pedestrian route to the airport entrance.
City officials recommend allowing extra time for parking, walking and entering the event.
Aviation Drive will be closed or restricted to vehicle traffic, with additional traffic controls along Sessums Drive to accommodate pedestrians.

Although the city will no longer sponsor Halloween festivities on Olive Avenue, the neighborhood's longstanding trick-or-treating tradition may continue independently.
The city plans to close West Olive Avenue between Center and Cajon streets from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, to accommodate anticipated pedestrian activity.
Officials emphasized that the closure is a public safety measure and does not constitute a city-sponsored Halloween event.
