REDLANDS, Calif. — An unidentified man died Sunday night after being struck by an Arrow passenger train in Redlands in what police are investigating as a probable suicide.
Police and Redlands Fire Department personnel responded shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, July 26, to the Metrolink tracks west of Texas Street.
According to the Redlands Police Department, the conductor reported the man entered the path of the eastbound train after it departed the Esri station west of Texas Street.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
No passengers or crew members were injured, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
