Showcasing more than 20 nonprofits, the fair helps Redlands residents find volunteer, service and board opportunities.
REDLANDS, Calif. – Redlands residents looking to make a difference will have the perfect opportunity at Fair for a Change, a new community event designed to connect people with meaningful ways to give back.
The fair will take place Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Casa Loma Room at the University of Redlands. More than 20 local nonprofits, service clubs and foundations will be on hand to showcase volunteer roles, service projects and board opportunities.
Organizers say the fair is geared toward all ages, from students seeking service hours to retirees and families interested in getting more involved.
“We created Fair for a Change to make it easier for people to find their place in service and to strengthen local organizations at the same time,” said Gabriel Brown, a longtime community volunteer and event founder. “Redlands is filled with passionate individuals and incredible organizations. This fair brings them together to build a more powerful, connected community.”
The free event will feature a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, conversations with nonprofit leaders and volunteers, sign-ups for upcoming projects and board openings, and food and drink vendors.
Fair for a Change is made possible by founding partner and fiscal sponsor Redlands Community Foundation, with support from Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club and community partner, University of Redlands.
