Community Forward Redlands joins CalMatters and regional news partners for a free public election event ahead of the June 2 primary election
As California’s June 2 primary election approaches, Community Forward Redlands is partnering with CalMatters, Inland Empire Law Weekly and Riverside Record for a regional community conversation about the issues shaping the future of our state and local communities.
Readers are invited to attend CalMatters’ “VotingMatters” event Friday, May 15, in Riverside.
The free event begins at 5 p.m. at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce boardroom, 3985 University Ave., Riverside. Food will be provided. The event is open to the public and families are welcome.
The event is an opportunity to learn more about issues on the upcoming primary ballot, explore the 2026 Voter Guide by CalMatters and learn about resources such as the interactive CalMatters Governor Quiz, designed to help voters choose a candidate.
The event is part of CalMatters’ statewide “VotingMatters” tour, which brings together voters, journalists and community members for civil, issue-focused conversations ahead of the June 2 primary election.
CalMatters launched the VotingMatters series to bring its 2026 Voter Guide to life through in-person discussions hosted in partnership with local newsrooms, colleges, libraries and nonprofit organizations across California.
More information about the statewide tour is available through CalMatters.
