REDLANDS, Calif. — Three people were injured Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway near Orange Street, according to the Redlands Fire Department.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the collision and found one vehicle overturned on its side with two occupants trapped inside, officials said.

Firefighter-paramedics extricated both patients from the overturned vehicle while additional crews assessed and treated other people involved in the crash.
A total of three patients were transported to the trauma center at Loma Linda University Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment, according to the department. The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
In a statement following the incident, Redlands Fire Department officials urged motorists to slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions and leave extra space between vehicles while driving on freeways.
“Your decisions behind the wheel can make all the difference,” the department said.
