Meet the All-Citrus Belt League Teams

The All-Citrus Belt League teams for basketball, wrestling, girls water polo and girls soccer have been announced, recognizing standout athletes for their skill, determination and sportsmanship this season.

Athletes across the league earned top honors for their contributions on the court, in the pool, on the mat and on the field, representing the best of Citrus Belt League competition.

Basketball

Yucaipa’s Young named All-CBL most valuable
Yucaipa High, which won the Citrus Belt League boys basketball title, dominated the recently picked all-league first team. Yucaipa’s Malik Young was named the All-CBL most valuable player. He was joined on the All-CBL first team by Thunderbird teammates Jonathan Campbell and Jaxon Lerma. Young averaged 16.8 points,
Three Thunderbirds make All-CBL girls first team
League champion Yucaipa put three players on the All-Citrus Belt League girls basketball first team. The Thunderbirds’ Brianna Elgan was named the All-CBL most valuable player, averaging 13 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.9 steals per game. Citrus Valley dominates All-CBL girls soccer
League champion Citrus Valley put seven players on the All-Citrus Belt League girls soccer first team, including offensive player of the year Juliana Atencio and league most outstanding goalkeeper Bailey Holke. Citrus Valley High placed four athletes on the All-Citrus Belt League girls wrestling first team.
