The mall property was [purchased in 2025](https://www.communityforwardredlands.com/dangermonds-take-ownership-of-redlands-mall-aim-to-improve-long-stalled-site/) by Jack and Laura Dangermond, founders of Esri, through their development company, Town Square Development. The project aims to reimagine the aging commercial site in the heart of downtown.

In April 2026, Town Square Development [entered into an agreement](https://www.communityforwardredlands.com/redlands-approves-deal-to-preserve-downtown-parking-during-mall-redevelopment/) with the city of Redlands to maintain parking availability during construction.

No timeline for completion of the demolition or details on the next phase of construction were immediately available.
